Instructors
All of American Kenpo Karate, Kick Boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu’s instructors are black belts in Karate and are at least blue belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Additionally instructors are certified by Dick Willett’s American Kenpo Karate Association, board of directors.
Head Instructor
Todd McElhinney (right picture) is a 10th Degree Blackbelt (Kenpo) and 1st degree Blackbelt (BJJ) with 35 years of teaching experience in Kenpo Karate, Kick-Boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has been voted Instructor of the Year three times by the American Kenpo Karate Association. Master McElhinney was inducted into the Kenpo Karate International Hall of Fame in 2007.
Todd has studied under Grandmaster Dick Willett (the founder of American Kenpo Karate, 10th degree blackbelt), Dr. Mick Leone (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) and many of the American Kenpo Karate top Blackbelts!
Todd enjoys teaching children, men, women, young and old, learn an ancient marital art in a modern age. Students find the classes fun and engaging while they learn real-life fighting skills.
Chief Council
Dr. Mick Leone (center with Red Belts, Fabio Santos – left and Relson Gracie – right) is a 9th Degree Blackbelt with over 40 years of teaching experience in Kenpo Karate, Kick-Boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Master Leone has attained a 2nd Degree Blackbelt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from Master Fabio Santos and oversees the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program.
Dr. Leone is the Chief Counsel for Dick Willett’s American Kenpo Karate Association and was also inducted into the Kenpo Karate International Hall of Fame in 2007.
